Business
ACADEMY
As a Queensborough student you will focus your education in one of our five nationally recognized Queensborough Academies.
Studying in the Business Academy you will learn from professors who are passionate about their subjects – and your future. Business degree programs place a strong emphasis on the practical application of problem-solving tasks, case studies and team work. Your business degree will open doors to networking opportunities in the business world!
Faculty-led opportunities include service-learning experiences as well as special events and field trips that will result in a more focused, impactful education.
Business Administration
If you’re looking to become a future business professional, this program will give you a broad overview of the business field and the academic foundation for career success. When you graduate, you’ll be ready to transfer to a bachelor’s degree program to specialize in a subject specific area. These could include accounting, business, finance or marketing.
Accounting for Forensic Accounting Dual/Joint with John Jay
If you’re interested in principles of accounting, finance, law, investigation techniques, ethics, theories of criminology and the forensic accounting field, this program is for you! The program consists of courses which enable you to pursue further education and careers in forensic accounting, accounting, and auditing, as well as financial operations and management fields. After successfully completing the program you’ll have access to the upper division baccalaureate program in Fraud Examination and Financial Forensics at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
Accounting
Do you like working with numbers? Accounting involves recording, classifying, analyzing and summarizing financial data. As a graduate, you’ll be prepared to enter the job market as junior accountant, accounting clerk, tax examiner or office manager. If you choose to pursue a bachelor’s degree, you’ll be ready for other career paths including auditor, controller and certified public accountant.
Health-Related Sciences

Health Sciences
Imagine yourself as a Physician Assistant or Occupational Therapist? Take this first step to careers in Community Health Education, Diagnostic Medical Imaging, Nutrition Sciences and other health- related careers. Students are prepared to enter several different bachelor degree programs throughout the metropolitan area.
Public Health
Public health is the science of protecting and improving the health of families and communities through promotion of healthy lifestyles, research for disease and injury prevention and detection and control of infectious diseases. Public Health and related fields is among the fastest growing employment areas in NYC and the nation.
Nursing
The Nursing program combines a rigorous 67-credit program with clinical experiences, preparing graduates to provide direct care to patients with common, well-defined health care needs in a variety of structured health care settings. Admission is highly competitive, and is based on successful completion of a pre-Nursing curriculum.
Liberal Arts

Liberal Arts and Sciences

Childhood Education
This very specific program leads to a dual/joint A.A./B.A. degree that prepares students to enter the bachelor's degree program in early childhood and elementary education at Queens College. Coursework parallels the first two years at Queens College, and meets all New York State learning standards for teacher education. At the completion of the baccalaureate (BA) degree, students are prepared to teach at the 1-6 grade level.
Criminal Justice
Part of the Liberal Arts Academy, the Criminal Justice program prepares students for transfer to John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Upon completion of this articulated degree program, students are prepared for careers in law enforcement, corrections, courts services, security and more.
Stem

Biotechnology
This program will equip students with the knowledge and skills required to succeed as technicians in the modern biotechnology environment and provide QCC graduates with seamless transfer to the BS program at York College. Course study is complemented by hands-on internships and field experiences with local partners such as the FDA, Stony Brook University, and Albert Einstein Medical College.
Chemistry

Armed with an A.S. in Chemistry, you can transfer to York College to complete a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Graduates of the Associate in Science degree program in Computer Science and Information Security are prepared for transfer to John Jay College of Criminal Justice to complete a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science and Information Security. QCC students will be offered the opportunity to obtain the A.S. Degree in the critical field of Cybersecurity.
